My Story

Hi! I'm so happy you're here! I want to share a little bit about me and why I started "Fundamentals in Fertility" or as I call it " F-Infertility" HA! I was 24 when I was diagnosed with endometriosis. After being incredibly let down by my diagnosis I took it upon myself to look into my fertility. I had been married for 6 months at this point and we weren't "not trying". After some preliminary blood-work I was then diagnosed with Low AMH. A 24 year old with eggs of a 50 year old... YIKES! It was recommended we start treatment for IVF in order to have a baby. This news hit me like a ton of bricks. I had heard of people who needed fertility treatment but not healthy 24 year olds? So in July of 18 we began our journey. Starting with an egg retrieval after PGS testing we ended with 2 healthy embryos. We opted to know the gender and ended with one of each. Perfect! We wanted 2! Boy first girl second it was almost like we would get it all. Well not exactly. Because of endometriosis we did a "Lupron" protocol which is a state of menopause before you transfer an embryo. On November 16 we transferred our perfect embryo boy. Everything was going great and I was so optimistic. Unfortunately, the pregnancy ended in a chemical miscarriage. Devastated was an understatement. My doctor decided to do more blood-work. Now we're in January of 19 and I've been diagnosed with 4 separate blood clotting disorders. You can also add these to the list retroverted uterus, Bicornuate Uterus and a J shaped cervix. After getting approval to move forward with pregnancy I was able to start Lupron again! FINALLY!! in April we transferred our last embryo... a girl. Shortly after we found out she STUCK! Then we heard the heartbeat, then we saw her face and from there she grew. On Dec 6, 2019 our sweet Scarlett K Growney was born. After experiencing IVF and infertility I realized how many couples suffer alone and in silence. I became an IVF coach to support and guide couples through a very physical and emotional journey.
